Super Mario Sunshine

You control Mario, who is equipped with a device called FLUDD, a water pump he wears like a backpack. Moment to moment, you're running, jumping, and spraying water. You use the water to clean the polluted surfaces, defeat enemies by blasting them, and sometimes to hover in the air for extra distance. The main objective is to collect Shine Sprites by completing specific tasks in each area, which often involves platforming challenges or solving environmental puzzles. The pacing can be uneven; some sections feel straightforward, while others demand precise jumps and careful management of your water supply. The game feels like a vacation that occasionally asks for some hard work, mixing relaxed exploration with bursts of focused action.
