About Super Marine
Super Marine was one of those games you'd find in the Flash era, a time when a simple browser tab could become a whole afternoon. It came out in 2008, a straightforward action game from a developer known as Nitrome. There was no grand story, just a clear setup that got you into the action without any fuss.
You control a lone marine in a small, fixed arena. Your job is to protect your base on the left from being destroyed while you try to do the same to the enemy base on the right. You move with the W, A, S, D keys and aim your gun with the mouse, firing at the constant streams of alien creatures that pour in from both sides. The mechanics are basic but demanding; you have to manage your attention between defending your own structure and whittling down the opponent's health bar. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty ramps up quickly as the alien swarms grow thicker and more aggressive. It feels like a tense, claustrophobic standoff where every second counts.
