About Soakertag Elite
Soakertag Elite was one of those games you'd find buried in a Flash portal during the late 2000s. It didn't have a big studio name attached, just a simple premise executed in that familiar, blocky vector style. You loaded it up in a browser window, and it was ready to go in seconds, a quick distraction between other tasks.
You control a colored square, moving it around a grid-like arena with your mouse. Your goal is to spray the opposing team's squares with your color, converting them to your side before they do the same to you. Each successful soak adds to your score, but hitting a teammate costs you points. The game moves quickly, with squares darting to avoid your cursor's spray. Matches are short and often chaotic, as you try to corner opponents while watching your own flanks. It feels like a frantic, digital game of tag played on a graph paper battlefield.
