About Shooting The Fly
Shooting The Fly was one of those simple games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't try to be anything more than a quick distraction, the kind of thing you'd play for a few minutes between other tasks. The screen was usually just a plain background, maybe a wall or a window, with a single clear goal.
You control a crosshair with your mouse. Flies enter the screen from the edges, buzzing in erratic patterns. Your job is to click on them before they fly away. Each successful hit adds to your score, and you race against a timer. The flies move faster as you progress, and sometimes they swarm, making you track multiple targets at once. The pace starts slow but quickly becomes frantic. It feels like a test of focus, a straightforward challenge of hand-eye coordination.
