About Rownd a Rownd
Rownd a Rownd was one of those games you'd find tucked away on a Flash portal in the early 2000s. It didn't have the fanfare of bigger titles, but it had a specific, almost meditative pull. You'd load it up in a browser window, the simple graphics and clear objective offering a quick escape between other tasks.
You control a line, or snake, that constantly moves forward. Your only direct input is steering it left or right to navigate a circular, maze-like track. The main goal is to survive by avoiding colliding with the walls or your own growing tail. As you collect items that appear on the path, your tail lengthens, making the tight corners and narrow gaps progressively more perilous. The pacing is steady and insistent, creating a rhythm of cautious turns and last-minute corrections. It feels like a balancing act, a test of spatial awareness where a single misjudgment unravels everything you've built.
