About Rib Challenge
Rib Challenge was one of those straightforward action games you'd find in the Flash era. It put you in the cockpit of a rigid inflatable boat, tasked with navigating the waters around Salcombe. The controls were simple, using the arrow keys to move forward, steer, and reverse, with the spacebar toggling a map view. There was no complex backstory; you just got in the boat and went to work.
You control the RIB from a behind-the-boat perspective, constantly adjusting your throttle and steering to handle the choppy water. Your main job is to complete ten different missions scattered around the harbor. These usually involve racing to markers, towing other vessels, or performing precise maneuvers against a timer. The physics feel weighty; the boat bounces on the waves and slides through turns, making even simple travel a task of constant correction. The difficulty comes from managing that momentum while under time pressure. It feels like handling a powerful, unwieldy tool on an unpredictable surface.
