About Red Skies

Red Skies was one of those horizontal shooters you'd find during the Flash era, a time when a quick browser game could fill an afternoon. It had a straightforward premise, putting you in control of a lone fighter plane against waves of enemy aircraft and ground installations.

You pilot the plane with the arrow keys, weaving through formations of enemy fighters and dodging their fire. Your main weapons are a standard cannon and a limited supply of missiles, which you fire with separate keys. The objective is to survive each mission, clearing the screen of enemies to progress. Between levels, you can spend points to upgrade your ship's speed, armor, or firepower, a simple system that lets you tailor your approach. The game moves at a brisk pace, and the difficulty ramps up noticeably as enemy patterns become more aggressive. It feels like a focused, no-frills test of reflexes and positioning.
