About Protect 101
Protect 101 was one of those games you'd find buried on a Flash portal in the late 2000s. It didn't have a big studio name attached, just a simple premise that pulled you in. You were given a very clear, very short window to figure things out.
You control a cursor, a simple crosshair, and your job is to stop bombs from hitting a small planet at the screen's center. The bombs fall in patterns, sometimes slow and predictable, other times in frantic clusters. You click to destroy them before they make contact. The main objective is straightforward: survive for 101 seconds without letting three bombs slip through. The pacing starts deceptively calm, but the timer ticking down in the corner adds a constant pressure. It feels like a race against a clock you can barely beat, a tense and focused scramble until the final second.
