About Oroboros
Oroboros was one of those games you'd find in the late 2000s, a time when Flash games were a regular part of browsing the web. It didn't have a big studio behind it, just a straightforward action game that loaded quickly and got right to the point. You'd play it in a browser window, often with other tabs open, and it demanded your full attention for a few intense minutes.
You control a segmented, snake-like creature with your mouse, guiding its head around the screen. Your tail follows behind, and it's also your weapon; a left-click makes it retract, slicing through any enemies in its path. The main goal is to survive as long as possible, cutting down waves of geometric shapes that close in from all sides. You collect power-ups that float into the arena, things that might increase your speed, lengthen your tail, or grant temporary shields. The pace is relentless, and a single mistake can end your run. It feels like a tense, fluid dance of evasion and precise strikes.
