About Operation Seahawk
Operation Seahawk was one of those straightforward action games you'd find during the Flash era. It appeared online around the early 2000s, a time when simple mechanics and clear objectives were enough to hold your attention for a while. You were just a helicopter pilot with a job to do, and the game didn't complicate that.
You control a rescue helicopter from a side view, navigating over open water and islands. Your primary task is to locate and retrieve soldiers stranded in the sea. Using the arrow keys, you maneuver the helicopter with a noticeable sense of weight and momentum. Pressing the spacebar lowers a winch to pick up a survivor, but you must also use it to fire at enemy boats and aircraft that patrol the area. Each level requires you to rescue every man while managing fuel and avoiding hostile fire. The pacing is methodical; you carefully plot routes between survivors, always aware that an attack could come from any direction. It feels like a tense, focused patrol where every successful retrieval is a small relief.
