Ninja Quest

You control a lone ninja moving through a series of side-view levels. Your main goal is to fight through members of a rival clan to reach the end of each stage. Moment to moment, you're running, jumping across platforms, and engaging enemies with a basic attack. You can also switch between different throwing weapons, like shurikens, to hit foes from a distance, and there's a block button to defend against incoming strikes. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty comes from the timing needed to avoid enemy attacks and navigate the platforms. It feels like a direct, uncomplicated test of your reflexes.
