About Net Pet

Net Pet was one of those quiet, simple games from the Flash era. It appeared in the early 2000s, a time when you could find a game in a browser and just start playing. There was no grand story or complicated setup. You just showed up, and there was a pet waiting for you.

You control a cursor, and your job is to look after a cat or a dog. The moment to moment play is about using a menu to select items like food or toys, then clicking to place them in a room. Your pet wanders between rooms on its own, so you often place a bowl of food to lure it out from somewhere else. If you neglect it, the pet can become noisy and difficult, scratching or barking. The pacing is slow, almost meditative. It feels like checking in on a quiet, digital companion.
