About Mutant Madness

Mutant Madness was one of those straightforward fighting games you'd find during the Flash era. It came out in 2005, developed by a studio called Funtank. You played as an agent dropped into a city overrun by mindless, zombie-like citizens, and your job was to clear them out.

You control the agent from a side view, moving with the arrow keys. The moment-to-moment play is about wading into crowds, using whatever you can find. You start with your fists, but you quickly pick up weapons like pistols, shotguns, and chainsaws left on the ground. The spacebar or the X key lets you attack, and you switch between melee and ranged tools depending on the swarm. Your main goal is to survive each wave, killing as many mutants as possible to earn cash for upgrades between rounds. The pacing is constant; enemies come from both sides, and the difficulty builds steadily as faster and more aggressive mutants appear. It feels like a hectic, crowded brawl where you're always scrambling for a better weapon.
