About Midget Tossing
Midget Tossing was one of those odd, simple games that felt typical for the Flash era. You'd find it on a site among dozens of others, a quick distraction with a premise that was immediately clear from its name. It didn't try to be more than that.
You control the thrower. Using your mouse, you adjust the arc of your toss, then press the spacebar to launch. The goal is to reach a score of one hundred points, but the scoring is tied directly to how far you throw the little person. You quickly learn to aim for distance, though a bad angle sends your projectile tumbling short or crashing down hard. The game moves in these quick, repetitive cycles of aiming and launching. It's not difficult in a complex way, but finding the right power and trajectory to maximize distance without a disastrous landing requires a little feel. The experience is blunt and strangely methodical, a loop of calculated throws with a grimly straightforward objective.
