About Mex
Mex was one of those games you'd find on a Flash portal in the late 2000s. It fit right in with the era's simple, direct titles, a small-scale strategy game built for a quick session. You managed a squad of robots in a turn-based fight against an opposing force on a grid.
You control each robot in your team individually, selecting them with a click to see their available moves. On your turn, you pick a unit, then choose an action like moving to a new square or firing at an enemy within range. The main goal is to eliminate all the opponent's units before they do the same to you. Positioning is important, as you try to use cover or flank enemies while keeping your own robots from being surrounded. The pace is methodical, with each decision carrying weight, and the difficulty can ramp up quickly if you overextend a unit. It feels like a compact puzzle of movement and firepower, where a single misstep can unravel your whole plan.
