About Mario Bomber 4
Mario Bomber 4 was one of those Flash games you'd find on a fan site in the late 2000s. It took the basic idea of a multiplayer arena bomber and dressed it up with familiar characters from the Mario universe. The presentation was simple, the controls were immediate, and it fit right into that era of quick, accessible browser games.
You control one of four characters, moving them around a grid-based arena with the arrow keys. The main goal is to be the last one standing when the timer runs out, or to have the highest score by then. You drop bombs with the spacebar, which explode after a short delay, destroying crates and, hopefully, your opponents. The arenas are small, so matches are fast and often chaotic. Dodging your own blasts while trying to trap others becomes the central rhythm. It feels straightforward and a little frantic, a simple contest of timing and positioning that wraps up in a few minutes.
