About Lord Cannonball

Lord Cannonball was one of those games you'd find on a Flash portal in the late 2000s. It fit right in with the simple, physics-driven shooters that were popular then. You didn't need a story or complex controls; you just loaded it up and started shooting.

You control a stationary cannon, using your mouse to aim at animals moving across the screen. Your main job is to hit them before they get away. You have to account for the cannonball's arc and lead your shots, which adds a bit of thinking to the action. The spacebar reloads your cannon after each shot, creating a steady rhythm of aim, fire, and reload. The game offers three difficulty levels, and even on the easier settings, the targets get quicker and more erratic. It feels like a straightforward test of your timing and prediction, a quiet few minutes of focused aiming.
