About Lemon Smash

Lemon Smash was one of those simple, quick games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't try to be anything more than a few minutes of distraction, usually on a site packed with other small games. You loaded it in a browser, and it just worked, which was part of the charm back then.

You control a character, a man with a hammer, who stands at the bottom of the screen. Lemons fall from the top, and you move left and right to position yourself underneath them. When a lemon is in range, you press the spacebar to swing the hammer and smash it. The main objective is to destroy every lemon before it hits the ground and piles up; if too many accumulate, the game ends. The mechanics are straightforward, focusing on timing your swings and managing your position as the lemons descend at a steady, increasing pace. It starts calmly but gradually demands quicker reactions. The game feels like a focused, rhythmic task of clearing the screen before it overwhelms you.
