Kitten Canons

You control a cannon, aiming its barrel up or down with the arrow keys. A red power bar on the cannon fills and empties in a cycle; you press the spacebar to fire when the bar is at the level you want, launching a kitten across the screen. Your goal is to shoot the kitten as far as possible. The flight is governed by physics, so the initial angle and power you set are everything. The kitten will bounce off platforms, get caught in loops, or sometimes just drop straight down if your shot is poor. The game moves quickly from attempt to attempt, with each misfire encouraging you to adjust your timing just a little. It feels like a process of constant, slight calibration, where a perfect shot provides a quiet satisfaction.
