Iron Maiden - Different World

You control a character, likely Eddie, from a top-down perspective. The moment-to-moment play is simple: you move with the arrow keys and use your mouse to aim and fire at everything that swarms onto the screen. Your main objective is to survive the waves of enemies, which include robotic spiders and flying craft. As you fight, you collect icons that appear to upgrade your weapon, changing its firing pattern or power. The pacing is relentless, with enemies coming from all sides, and the difficulty can spike quickly if you get surrounded. It feels like a frantic scramble to keep your cursor on target while dodging incoming fire.
