About Idea Killer

Idea Killer was one of those games that felt like a product of its time, something you'd find tucked away on a Flash game portal in the late 2000s. It had that simple, almost crude visual style that was common then, built for a quick play session between other tasks. The premise was immediately clear, and it didn't waste time with lengthy tutorials or backstory.

You control a character, often depicted as a businessman or office worker, who is tasked with destroying incoming ideas. These ideas are represented as lightbulbs or thought bubbles that float across the screen. Your main objective is to pop them before they reach the other side, using a simple click or by dragging a weapon over them. The mechanics involve timing your clicks to hit multiple targets in a row for bonuses, and avoiding or dealing with special ideas that move erratically or are protected. The pacing starts deceptively slow but quickly becomes frantic as more ideas stream in from different angles. It feels like a constant, slightly absurd race against a tide of creativity you are paid to suppress.
