About Horizon Of War
Horizon of War was one of those straightforward Flash games you'd find in the late 2000s. It didn't have a big studio name attached, just a simple premise that loaded quickly in your browser. You were there to hold a position, and that was the entire point.
You control a solitary turret perched on a hill. Your mouse aims the cannon, and a click sends a shell downrange. Waves of infantry and light vehicles advance from the horizon, and you must destroy them before they reach your base. The mechanics are basic: you manage a limited ammunition supply that slowly regenerates, and you must prioritize targets as the screen grows crowded. The pacing starts slow but builds steadily, and the difficulty comes from the sheer number of units that eventually pour in. It feels like a relentless, lonely defense against an endless tide.
