About Hoops Mania
Hoops Mania was one of those simple Flash games you'd find tucked away on a sports website in the early 2000s. It didn't try to be a full simulation. Instead, it offered a quick, focused test of timing and accuracy, the kind of distraction perfect for a few minutes between tasks.
You control three cartoonish streetball players, each stationed at a different spot on the court. The goal is straightforward: score as many baskets as you can within a thirty-second timer. You click on a player to make them shoot, or you can use the 1, 2, and 3 keys for faster selection. The real challenge comes from managing the trio. You're constantly switching between them, judging their individual distances and release points, trying to establish a rhythm before the clock runs out. The pace is frantic but not punishing, more about maintaining a flow than surviving an onslaught. It feels like a rapid-fire exercise in building and keeping a streak going.
