About Headfolk Boom

Headfolk Boom came out during the Flash era, a time when you could find a game in a browser and play it for a few minutes between other tasks. It was a straightforward action title, the kind you'd load up without much expectation, just to see what it was about.

You control a small character with a bomb. Your goal is to clear each room of enemies by planting that bomb and getting clear before it detonates. The controls are simple, using just the mouse to move and click to place your explosive. You navigate tight spaces, often having to time your retreat to a safe corner or behind a block. Some levels require you to collect items to fill a progress bar before you can finish. The pace is quick, and mistakes are punished instantly, making you plan each move. It feels like a tense, methodical puzzle where one wrong click ends your run.
