About Hacker

Hacker was one of those games you'd find buried in the Flash portals of the early 2000s. It fit right in with that era of simple, browser based puzzles you could lose an afternoon to without much fuss. The game had a straightforward premise that felt familiar to anyone who spent time online back then.

You control a small character, moving from room to room in what seems like an office building. Your goal is to collect floppy disks scattered around the environment. Each disk you find allows you to access a security computer, which in turn unlocks the door to the next floor. You interact with everything using your mouse, clicking to move and to pick up items. The challenge comes from avoiding the patrolling guards and police officers who will chase you down if they spot you. The pace is steady, with a quiet tension as you plan your route around the enemies. It feels like a careful, methodical scramble against a clock you can't see.
