About Grave Robber

Grave Robber was one of those odd little games that felt right at home in the Flash era. You'd find it on a portal site, tucked between more polished titles, and its simple premise was immediately clear. It came out in 2005, a time when a single, bizarre idea was often enough to make a game stick in your memory.

You control a gravedigger, or perhaps more accurately, a thief. The goal is to dig up graves and assemble a complete skeleton from the scattered bones you find. You click to dig, then drag and drop bones like a femur or a skull onto your growing creation. The challenge comes from the police who patrol the cemetery; if they see you, the game ends. This creates a tense, stop-and-start rhythm where you watch the guards' paths, dig quickly during a gap, and then freeze. It feels like a strange, quiet puzzle played against a clock you can't see.
