About Grain Strain
Grain Strain was one of those simple, quick games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't try to be anything more than a short distraction, the kind of thing you'd play for a few minutes between other tasks. The visuals were basic, the concept straightforward. It fit right in with that period of web gaming where a clever idea was often enough.
You control a small bucket at the bottom of the screen. Grains, which look like little yellow pellets, fall from the top. Your job is to catch them. The main objective is to collect a set number of grains before time runs out to complete the level. You use the mouse to move the bucket left and right, positioning it directly under the falling streams. The pace starts slow but picks up, with grains sometimes falling in tricky patterns or from multiple points at once. It becomes a test of your reflexes and anticipation. The game feels like a focused, rhythmic task where a single missed catch can make the difference.
