About Get A Head

Get A Head was one of those physics games that felt like a staple of the Flash era. You'd find it on a gaming portal, a simple concept that didn't need much explanation. It came out in 2005, a time when these quick, experimental games were everywhere online.

You control a headless robot body. With the mouse, you click and drag to aim a kick at your own detached, robotic head, which is just sitting there on the ground. The goal is to launch that head as far down the field as you can, using only three kicks. You adjust the angle and power with your cursor, then release to send the head tumbling. The physics are loose and bouncy, so the head might skip or roll unpredictably. It's a game of quick attempts and minor adjustments, often feeling more silly than serious. The experience is a brief, absurd test of how much distance you can get from a well-placed punt.
