About Gangster Pursuit
Gangster Pursuit was one of those straightforward action games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't try to be anything more than a quick, playable diversion for a web browser. The game had a simple premise that fit right in with other titles from that time, focusing on immediate action without complex menus or backstory.
You control a character running automatically through a city street. Your main job is to survive by shooting gangsters who pop up from behind cars and barriers. You use the arrow keys to move forward, back, and to jump over obstacles like crates or gaps. Aiming and firing is done with the mouse, which lets you pick off enemies as they appear. The pacing is constant, and the difficulty comes from the increasing number of foes and the need to time your jumps while shooting. It feels like a tense, reactive scramble where one missed shot or mistimed leap can end your run.
