About Flash Strike
Flash Strike was one of those games you'd find on a Flash gaming portal in the late 2000s. It was a straightforward, browser based take on the tactical shooter formula popular at the time. The game didn't try to hide its inspiration, offering a familiar setup for a quick play session between other tasks.
You control a counter terrorist operative from a first person perspective. Your goal is to eliminate all hostile forces in a series of contained environments. Moment to moment, you are managing your weapon selection, often cycling between a sidearm, a rifle, and a sniper for different engagements. A dedicated key lets you throw a flashbang to disorient enemies, while another allows your character to take cover behind objects. The pacing is brisk, with enemies appearing from predictable angles, and the difficulty comes from managing your limited ammo and health across multiple waves. It feels like a condensed, no frills version of a more complex shooter, built for immediate action.
