About Disco Balls
Disco Balls was one of those simple, absorbing games you'd find during the Flash era. It came out in 2005, a time when a clever concept and smooth controls were enough to keep you clicking for hours. The game didn't need a complicated story or fancy graphics; it was just you and a shiny ball on a grid.
You control a single, reflective sphere with your mouse, rolling it across a checkered dance floor. Your goal is straightforward: cover more of the floor with your color than the opposing balls do before the timer runs out. You roll over neutral tiles to claim them, and you can also roll over an opponent's tile to steal it back. Power-ups occasionally appear, letting you freeze rivals or move faster for a short advantage. The pace is quick, with each round lasting only a minute, forcing you to make constant decisions about where to push next. It feels like a tense, fluid scramble for territory.
