About Dead Of Night
Dead of Night was one of those games you'd find tucked away on a Flash portal in the late 2000s. It didn't have a big studio name attached, just a straightforward premise that pulled you in. You were in charge of a lone house, and your job was to survive until dawn.
You control a survivor from a top-down view, looking out over your property. During the day, you use the mouse to place barriers, barbed wire, and turrets around the yard, spending the cash you earn from kills. When night falls, the perspective shifts. You aim your crossbow directly with the cursor, clicking to pick off zombies as they shuffle toward your walls. The goal is simple: hold out through each progressively longer and more intense night. The pacing is tense, with quiet planning phases giving way to frantic shooting as your defenses buckle. It feels like a desperate, scrappy fight for every inch of ground.
