About Cliff Diver
Cliff Diver was one of those simple Flash games you'd find in the late 2000s. It didn't need a story or complex menus. You just loaded it up in your browser and jumped in, a quick distraction between other tasks. The visuals were clean and cartoonish, with a bright sky and a deep blue sea waiting far below.
You control a diver at the top of a sheer cliff. Your only goal is to reach the water safely. You press the arrow keys to move left or right, avoiding the birds that fly across the screen and the eggs they sometimes drop. Hitting either sends you tumbling. As you fall, you can press the spacebar to make your diver assume a proper diving pose, and the down arrow speeds up your descent. The game is fast. The cliff face rushes past, and you have to make quick decisions about your path. It feels like a brief, tense race against gravity where a single mistake ends your run.
