About Citygunner

Citygunner was one of those straightforward action games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't try to be anything more than a quick, engaging way to pass time in a browser. The game presented a simple premise and let you get right into it.

You control a lone soldier moving through a cityscape from a side view. Your immediate task is to shoot the enemies that appear, which often emerge from buildings or patrol the streets. The main goal is to rescue prisoners held in cages scattered throughout the level. You move with the WASD keys, aim and fire with the mouse, and can switch between a few different weapons using the number keys. The pacing is brisk, with a steady stream of opponents keeping you occupied. It feels like a focused, no-frills arcade experience where your attention stays on the immediate action.
