About Celebrity Pedigree

Celebrity Pedigree was one of those odd, amusing little games that felt right at home during the Flash era. It came out in 2008, a time when you could easily lose an afternoon to a simple, quirky concept. The game was developed by the studio Arkadium, which made a lot of these quick, accessible titles. It didn't try to be anything more than a bit of fun, and that was its charm.

You control a cursor, using your mouse to select two celebrity portraits from a grid. After you make your choices, the game mashes their faces together and presents you with the result: a single, often hilariously distorted dog breed that supposedly represents their offspring. The main objective is simply to see what each bizarre pairing will produce. You click, you laugh, and then you click again. The mechanics are straightforward, relying on a basic photo-morphing algorithm and a large library of celebrity images. The pacing is fast and the difficulty is non-existent; it's purely about the novelty of each combination. Playing it feels like flipping through a strange, slightly irreverent picture book where the pictures keep getting weirder.
