About Bums Rush

Bums Rush was one of those oddball Flash games you'd find in the mid-2000s, a time when a simple concept and a few minutes of your attention were all a developer needed. It didn't try to be anything grand. You just clicked and hoped for the best.

You control a character whose only goal is to collect coins tossed from a passing car. The mouse moves your guy left and right across a busy street, dodging a steady stream of traffic. The mechanics are straightforward: you click to dash, which helps you avoid cars, but timing is everything. If you get hit, you're sent flying, and the coins scatter. The game moves quickly, and the traffic patterns feel unpredictable after a while. It creates a feeling of frantic, almost silly desperation as you scramble for spare change.
