About Breakdown
Breakdown was one of those games you'd find buried in the Flash portals of the early 2000s. It didn't have a big studio name attached, just a simple concept that pulled you in for a few minutes at a time. The goal was straightforward, but getting there required a steady hand.
You control a small paddle at the bottom of the screen, moving it left and right to bounce a ball upward. Your job is to clear every brick from the wall above. The ball ricochets, sometimes at sharp angles, and you have to anticipate where it will land. Some bricks take multiple hits to break, adding a layer of strategy to your shots. The pace picks up as the wall thins out, and a single missed catch ends your run. It feels like a tense, focused game of pinball where every decision matters.
