About Blast-o-matic

Blast-o-matic was one of those games you'd find on Flash game sites in the mid-2000s. It had a simple, functional look common to many physics-based puzzles from that era. The game didn't try to be anything more than a straightforward test of timing and precision.

You control a cannon, aiming to launch a ball into a basket or a target. The core interaction is managing a series of power gauges. You click to stop a moving needle on each gauge, which sets the force and angle of your shot. Some gauges require you to land the needle in a specific green zone, while others might involve filling a separate meter or aligning two moving parts. The challenge comes from the sequence; you have to successfully stop all ten gauges in a row to execute a single shot. The pacing is deliberate, each click feeling significant. If you miss a gauge, the shot fires poorly, often sending the ball veering off course. It feels like a careful, almost nervous process of calibration, where a single mistimed click unravels your entire attempt.
