About Betty's Beer Bar
Betty's Beer Bar was one of those simple, quick games you'd find during the Flash era. It came out in 2003, a time when a lot of these single-screen time management games were popular. You didn't need a story or complex graphics; you just jumped right in. The developer was not widely promoted, so it often felt like a game that just appeared, ready to be played in a browser during a break.
You control a bartender, Betty, from a top-down view. Your job is to keep the customers at the bar happy. They walk in, take a seat, and a thought bubble shows what they want, usually a specific type of beer. You click on the correct keg to fill a mug, then click to place it in front of the waiting patron. If you're too slow, their patience meter drains and they leave angry, costing you a tip. The mechanics are straightforward: matching orders, managing a queue of customers, and trying to serve everyone before they lose their temper. The pacing starts relaxed but quickly becomes frantic as more people crowd the bar. It feels like a constant, pleasant scramble to keep up with the demand.
