Batman Defend Gotham

You move Batman left and right, punching and kicking thugs as they approach from both sides. The main goal is to clear each stage by defeating all the enemies, culminating in a boss fight. The mechanics are basic; you have a standard attack combo and a jump, and you need to manage your positioning to avoid getting surrounded. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty comes from the increasing number and variety of foes in later levels. It feels like a brisk, uncomplicated test of reflexes where you methodically clear each screen of villains.
