About Bat and Mouse
Bat and Mouse was one of those simple, quick games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't have a complicated story or fancy graphics, just a clear premise that loaded in seconds. You'd play it between tasks or while waiting for something else to load, a common experience for many web users at the time.
You control a small mouse from a top-down perspective, moving it with the arrow keys. The goal is to survive as long as possible while a bat relentlessly chases you around the single-screen arena. You collect pieces of cheese scattered on the floor for points. Grabbing a clock temporarily slows the bat's movement, giving you a crucial moment to reposition or snag more cheese. The pacing is tense; the bat is consistently fast, and mistakes are punished quickly. It feels like a frantic, continuous scramble for breathing room.
