About Barbecue Stake

Barbecue Stake was one of those simple, quick games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't have a complicated story or fancy graphics. You just loaded it up in your browser and started playing. The game had a straightforward premise that fit right in with other casual titles from that time.

You control a skewer, waiting above a conveyor belt loaded with food. The goal is to spear every piece that passes underneath. You press the spacebar to drop the skewer, timing your strike so it passes through all the items in a single column. If you miss a piece or hit an obstacle, the game ends. The pacing starts slow but gradually increases, demanding sharper reflexes as more items and gaps appear. It feels like a test of simple, precise timing.
