About Ballon Master 2
Balloon Master 2 was one of those games you'd find on a Flash portal in the late 2000s. It didn't have a complicated story or fancy graphics. It was just there, a simple test of speed and focus you could play in a browser tab between other things. I remember it being around in that era when a lot of games were built for quick sessions.
You control a character holding a bunch of balloons. The core loop is straightforward. Letters fall from the top of the screen, and you have to type them on your keyboard before they hit the ground. Each correct keystroke pops the corresponding balloon. The main objective is to survive as long as possible by not missing any letters. The mechanics are basic but demanding. You watch the descent of multiple letters at once, prioritize the lowest ones, and keep your fingers ready. The pacing starts slow but quickly becomes relentless, forcing you into a state of concentrated typing. It feels like a race against a gradually accelerating cascade, where a single mistype ends everything.
