About Wreckers

Beacon 04523N is a space station where automated systems manage daily operations. Its human crew remains in cryogenic sleep until an emergency, such as the detection of incoming plasmodian spores known as Wreckers, triggers their awakening.

Gameplay involves defending the station through multiple methods. An officer can use a large space hose to remove spores before they land, or don a suit to clean infected hull sections. Inside the corridors, the same officer must eliminate any spores that have infiltrated, using plasma weapons while evading return fire.

The player also manages a group of up to ten utility droids, which operate autonomously but can be directed to critical areas like infection sites. As the officer survives encounters, promotions allow for the construction of more advanced combat robots in the station's factory.

The core objective is to maintain station functionality by rapidly clearing infections. A persistent threat is a sixty minute self destruct sequence, which activates if spore activity is not completely eradicated, making the overall situation challenging.
