About UEFA Champions League

UEFA Champions League is a DOS football game that shares its core structure with Krisalis's Manchester United The Double from the same year. The presentation of clubs, players, and their attributes is identical between the two titles.

The scope is limited to the sixteen clubs that participated in the 1995-96 Champions League season. While it is possible to play the official competition, the game also allows for creating custom tournaments and single matches using that fixed set of teams. No additional clubs or player transfers are available.

Several interface and setup options were enhanced. Player positions can be adjusted in the tactics menu, and control keys are reconfigurable. Visually, the in-match graphics show improvement, taking cues from titles like FIFA International Soccer and including pre-match ceremonies such as the coin toss.

Despite these upgrades and a more flexible starting setup, the overall gameplay is described as a step back from its predecessor. The experience is considered compromised by several flaws that negatively impact play.
