About Threat

Threat is a DOS game where players assume the roles of colonists defending their asteroid base, Astral, from invading monsters. The setting involves a deep space outpost that has come under attack by hostile creatures arriving on raiding spacecraft.

Gameplay consists of clearing infested rooms in a series of challenging firefights. The layout of each chamber is visible, but enemy positions are hidden until encountered. Up to three players can cooperate in this effort, with each colonist being well-equipped for combat.

Defeated monsters yield bonuses and bounties, which function as a currency. These resources are spent between levels at a store to acquire various firearms and explosive devices, allowing for tactical adjustments to the players' arsenal.
