The Lost City of Atlantis

The Lost City of Atlantis is a 2D side-scrolling action platformer. Its protagonist is a Phoenician merchant named Raghim, who begins his journey unclothed and without any means of defence. His overarching quest is instigated by receiving a map to Atlantis from a lizard in a Greek marketplace.

Gameplay involves navigating levels to gather seven crystals, which are then surrendered to a wizard lizard to proceed. To survive the hostile environments, Raghim collects pearls that can be exchanged for weapons. Health can be restored by finding food and life jars scattered throughout the stages.

The shareware release is structured as a trilogy, with each episode presenting a distinct setting and challenges. The first part takes place in ancient Greece. Episode Two moves the action to ancient Egypt, introducing deadly insects as enemies. The final chapter occurs in Atlantis itself, where the kings have transformed the population into robotic threats.
