About The Hunt for Red October

The Hunt for Red October is a DOS game based on Tom Clancy's novel. Players assume the role of Captain Marko Ramius, who is secretly attempting to defect to the United States with his advanced submarine.

This creates a challenging situation where the Soviet Navy, aware of the defection, actively pursues the vessel. Meanwhile, the player's own crew remains unaware of the true mission, adding a layer of internal tension.

The primary objectives involve navigating the Atlantic to meet with US forces and then staging the apparent destruction of the Red October to complete the defection covertly.
