About Silent Hunter

Silent Hunter places the player in command of a U.S. submarine during the Pacific campaign of World War II. The primary objective is to destroy enemy shipping, with success measured by the total tonnage sunk.

Gameplay is structured around different mission types, including historical scenarios, speculative engagements, and a continuous career mode. Operations span a wide geographical area, featuring numerous patrol zones and coastal targets for both reconnaissance and direct attack.

Commanders are recognized for exceptional performance with awards, and a scoring system allows for comparison with the historical records of actual submarine officers. Players have access to several different submarine models to carry out their patrols.
