Review
Also known as
Siege: The Demon Returns

This real-time tactical game mixes castle assault and defense with fantasy units, but suffers from poor AI and a cumbersome interface.

Siege (also known as Siege: The Demon Returns) was developed and published by Mindcraft Software for DOS in 1992. No earlier commercial release of this exact DOS version is known, and the original game first appeared on DOS in the same year.

About Siege

Siege is a tactical simulation focused on castle assaults within the fantasy land of Gurtex. The core conflict involves the Forces of Light, comprising humans and their allies, battling the Forces of Darkness, which include orcs and similar factions.

Players can assume the role of either a defender commanding one of four castles or take the part of the attacking assailant. Across 24 scenarios, command extends to as many as 17 distinct troop types, which encompass magic-users and a variety of siege equipment.
